We have a kids' nature playscape, environmentally based programming, a nature center and gift shop, as well as 12 miles of trails, and a variety of seasonal drop-in activities. The spirit of cooperation between the artists has allowed the gallery to grow and thrive over the last 15 years. Artistree's stunning gallery space is set in a beautiful log building in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin, near the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our cooperative represents northern artists working in a variety of media including: watercolors, oils and acrylics; fiber and paper arts; printmaking and illustration; jewelry; pottery; wood turning, carving and furniture making; photography; stained glass and other mixed media. Visit the gallery to see this eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional fine art and fine craft. There is always an artist or two on hand to meet and greet you. Artistree Gallery shares space with the non-profit organization, Land O' Lakes Arts, Inc. (LOLA) at 4262 County Road B in downtown Land O' Lakes. LOLA provides art classes and cultural events year-round for children and adults. Together, Artistree Gallery and LOLA Center for the Arts serve as a destination to view and/or participate in the arts of Northern Wisconsin and the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. ArtStart is downtown Rhinelander's art and cultural center. ArtStart uses its knowledge, creativity, and connections to support the health of our communities through in house exhibitions and programming and community partnerships and projects outside of our gallery walls. Officially formed in 2011, ArtStart volunteers rolled up their sleeves and opened their pocket books to renovate a building leased from the city of Rhinelander, into a modern space. The space includes two galleries, a classroom/conference room, indoor and outdoor stage, and bar area. There are several office spaces which are leased to artists, health coaches, and others. Whether it's exhibitions, concerts, special events, or community programming and partnerships, ArtStart is an engaged and active organization. Sarah: Sarah has a lifelong love of stones, both searching for them, and creating with them, adding in beads, other findings, as well as vintage, upcycled items to create unique necklaces, bracelets, pins, and more. In my retirement I have further cultivated my interests in furniture construction and now share the products of my labor with those attracted to my functional and practical designs.
